Campaign for Real Ale

Monthly Bulletin - April 2019

Tuesday 16 April 2019

The Tividale Three, Sandwell Scoring Social on Wednesday 17th April

Starting at Tivi Ale (7.30pm); a friendly micropub which opened in June 2018 and serves two interesting guest beers alongside the local’s favourite Holden’s Golden Glow. The crawl will then visit the recently-refurbished Tividale Football Club (8.30pm) and will conclude at the Wonder (9.30pm); the latter serving four Real Ales of which one is a rotating guest beer. Those attending from Dudley are advised to take Bus 14 (Stand E) at 7:21pm.

Snoop around Sadler's Ales

There are spaces available for a look inside the Lye brewery. Fans of Hop Bomb and Mellow Yellow are invited to attend a free-of-charge talk ‘n’ tour at Sadler’s Brewhouse & Bar on Thursday 25th April (7pm-10pm). Tickets for the event, hosted by neighbouring branch Stourbridge & Halesowen CAMRA, can be booked by emailing moc.tenretnitb@olb.sreldas.

Various Vacancies for Brewery Liaison Officers (BLOs)

BLOs are at the very heart of all dialogue between breweries and the local CAMRA branch. For example, we rely on our team of officers to keep us informed about new products, new branding, and new personnel. We have now appointed a BLC-elect (Brewery Liaison Coordinator) ahead of our AGM in May who is going to support all of our BLOs to make sure we know as much as possible about what our breweries are up to! If you’d like to be a BLO for one of our breweries (Bathams, Black Country Ales, Blue Bear, Britt, Enville, Fownes, Holden’s, Kinver, Olde Swan, Sarah Hughes, Toll End), email ku.gro.armac.yeldud@riahc to determine which opportunities are open to you.

Ales at the Acres, Keep ‘In The Know’ in Kingswinford

Our next Branch Meeting will take place on Monday 29th April, 8pm, at the High Acres, Kingswinford. All CAMRA members are welcome to attend. Bus 226 from Dudley drops passengers at the door of the pub.
