The Abraham Darby in the Merry Hill shopping centre has postponed its first meet the brewer event.

The planned date would have clashed with JD Wetherspoon's beer festival which will run across all the chain's pubs in the Dudley and South Staffordshire branch area from March 4 to 15.

The Abraham Darby's first meet the brewer night was to have taken place on Thursday, March 5.

A new date will be announced for the event which will feature real ales from Birmingham-based Silhill Brewery and a talk from its head brewer.

The festival features 28 beers new to JDW pubs including contributions from five international brewers.

There will be third-of-a-pint tasting glasses available with three different thirds for the price of a festival pint.
