Pub of the year presentation

Tuesday 14 April 2026

The presentation of the Dudley and South Staffordshire branch's Pub of the Year award was held at the Vine (Bull & Bladder) in Brierley Hill.

Branch chairman John Corser presented the framed certificate to landlord Tom Comyns during a break in the branch meeting in the Delph Road pub on Monday, April 13.

The Bathams pub has won the overall branch award for the second year in a row.

John said that the Bull & Bladder came out on top in judging by branch members of a shortlist of six pubs.

It scored highly for beer quality and was also appreciated for its community values, alignment with CAMRA principles and standard of service and welcome from pub staff.

Tom said that he was delighted to see the pub recognised once again by CAMRA and put its success down to his team of staff and also thanked regular customers for their ongoing support.

The Bull & Bladder has now gone through to the West Midlands county round of CAMRA's national pub of the year competition.

The branch's South Staffordshire award will be presented to the Old Bush in Wombourne on Wednesday, April 15 at 8pm. Branch members are welcome to attend.
