The 2027 Good Beer Guide is published on Thursday, September 24.

The latest edition features 23 pubs from the Black Country area covered by the Dudley and South Staffordshire branch of CAMRA and three from its area of South Staffordshire.

Pubs are selected on the scores that CAMRA members make on their beers on visits to branch pubs offering real ale.

The branch encourages all CAMRA members to score their beers using the new scoring system through the CAMRA website.

The 54th edition has more than 4,500 recommended pubs across the United Kingdom

The guide also features a unique brewery listing covering 1,700 breweries and 5,000 beers plus information about onsite brewery taprooms

This year’s foreword is written by Sir Ian Rankin. He, and his fictional detective Rebus, both frequent The Oxford Bar, in Edinburgh which features on the cover of this year’s guide.

The West Midlands regional Good Beer Guide 2027 launch takes place on Thursday, September 24, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm at the Reginald Mitchell pub at The Tontine, 20 Parliament Row, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
