Opening 4th July 2020. Cleaning regimes have been upgraded – and frequency increased. Some pub areas will have screens in place. Reduced capacity levels will be in place to enable Social Distancing of 2 metres ideally, or 1 metre plus mitigating factors where we cannot achieve 2 metres. No standing or sitting at the bar will be possible. It may be that on busy sessions customers are asked to queue outside the pub if at full capacity. Table service for taking and delivering of orders is mandatory inside each pub. Table service will also apply in gardens and outside each pub.

Former CAMRA National Pub of the Year which reopened in March 2013, following a refurbishment by Black Country Ales. It is an imposing Victorian hostelry with two distinct rooms warmed by open fires. There is a large yard at the rear with patio heaters and an outbuilding. There are seven changing guest beers plus the three Black Country Ales core beers and five traditional ciders. Cobs are available. It is a ten-minute walk from Great Bridge, which has frequent services to Dudley, West Bromwich and Birmingham.
